How to take a placement test?
Each test is designed to test different levels; levels range from A1 to C1 according to CEFR. Each level determines the level of difficulty of the following test. |If you think you know your current language level you don´t have to start at the lowest level. If you are not sure, just start at the level “Beginner”.
In order to get to a higher level you need to answer 70 % of the questions correctly. Once you have completed one level just click on “next level” at the bottom of the page. You will only be allowed to enter the next level if you have successfully passed the previous one. Test will automatically generate evaluation and send you the result. You will be offered a course accordingly. Once you have entered the next (higher) level, you can´t go back to the previous one.
You can always terminate the level by clicking on “next level” if you feel the test is too difficult for you (you don´t have to answer all questions). If you don´t know a particular answer click on “I don´t know”. Just try not to guess. It is not a competition; we need a real assessment of our knowledge in order to place you in the right course.
At the bottom of the page (end of test) you will not only find the result and level achieved but also a list of relevant courses you can attend. We recommend enrolling to the course which corresponds to your test result. However, in the given selection you will also see courses besides English half a level higher or lower to have more time options. You should have no problem studying in these courses either.
Thank you for completing the placement test. We are looking forward to seeing you in our courses.
